The Henry Single Shot Youth Break Open Rifle carries on the history of centerfire single-shot rifles that have been used extensively by hunters looking for a dependable and accurate game-getter. They are built to the same high standards that all Henry rifles are built to, and can be counted on for uncomplicated durability.
These rifles use a familiar locking lever on top of the frame behind the external hammer spur to break the barrel open. Features a blued steel receiver, non-ejecting case extractor, 22” blued steel barrel, fully adjustable folding leaf rear sight, brass bead front sight, straight grip American walnut stock, solid rubber recoil pad, and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The youth model has a reduced length of pull of only 13 inches.
The action has no external manual safety and uses a rebounding hammer that can’t touch the firing pin unless the trigger is deliberately pulled. An interlock system doesn’t allow the barrel to open if the hammer is cocked, or allow it to close if the hammer is cocked while it’s open. It is quick to load and unload, with safe and simple operation.
