Built with the younger hunters and shooters in mind the Mossberg 500 Youth models feature a classic hardwood walnut stock with a shorter length of pull (12") making shouldering much more natural and comfortable. Handling is also much easier for smaller shooters with the shorter 20” ventilated rib barrel. Barrel is blued with a dual bead sights and is chambered for 3-inch ammo allowing for 2 ¾ or 3-inch loads. Other features include: dual extractors, positive steel-to-steel lockup, twin action bars, and an anti-jam elevator ensure smooth operation. Top mounted safety provides for ambidextrous operation.
