The Model 70 Extreme Weather Stainless utilizes a Bell and Carlson™ lay-up composite stock that provides a solid feel and features trim and lightweight ergonomics. It has a textured charcoal gray matte finish for rugged good looks and improved grip in adverse conditions. The sculpted cheekpiece helps ensure proper eye-to-scope alignment from any shooting position. This Bell and Carlson stock is built for extreme stability in any conditions. A proprietary molding system maximizes strength, while an aluminum bedding block locks the action to the stock for enhanced accuracy. The thick, black Pachmayr® Decelerator® pad helps take the felt recoil bite out of high performance magnum cartridges.
It features a pre-64 style controlled round feed with claw extractor, as well as a 3-position safety that allows the bolt to be operated while locking the firing pin. The free-floating fluted stainless steel barrel offers lightweight benefits without sacrificing accuracy. Stainless steel sling swivel studs are installed.
